Betteshanger Colliery Welfare Band  and The Deal and Walmer Handelian Choral Society - Musical Directors Mike West and Chris Lockyer 

Two local music groups come together to perform a lively programme including brass band music and popular choruses. Founded in 1932, Betteshanger Brass has been central in the lives of its members and local audiences through world war and immense industrial change. Their concert with the Handelians, founded in 1946, brings together two much-loved local institutions. 

Deal Music & Arts has brought the best in the arts to East Kent for over 40 years. We have welcomed great musicians, fine actors and distinguished writers to Deal, Walmer, Sandwich and Dover. We have evolved from curating a summer festival in July into a year-round organisation that offers Learning and Participation programmes as well as a festival. We are proud to enrich the cultural life and so well being within our communities as well as bringing benefit to the East Kent economy.
